Tennesee, you've been good to me.

"Give me 10 more years, I'll be rooted in your soil."

Nashville, TN.

This past weekend, I went to Nashville for the first time in my life. I arrived Friday night (7 pm) and left Sunday morning (6:45 am), so there wasn't much time to soak in the city.

But, what I saw --- I loved.

It snowed the entire time. We stayed across the street from the Grand Ole Opry and the Opryland Hotel (the largest non-gaming hotel in the US. This place has a RIVER running through it). I ate Blackened Grouper and drank beer. I hung out with a band from Montreal and loved listening to their delightful accents. I hung out with my friend Ryan, who has Turrets syndrome -- which is always an experience. I ate beef briskett and cornbread. I hung out with big wig booking agents in the Presidential Suite of the Opryland hotel. I averaged 3 hours of sleep a night.

Someday, I hope to spend more than 36 hours in Nashville (and I'm sure that I will). I could spend at least that much time geeking out over Cash memorabilia alone...
