Christians can be punk rock, too. (or not)

This is from an email I got from a Christian venue in Ohio today. They wanted to book one of our bands (which is not a Christian band) and sent over a list of "rules of conduct" for the bands that play their venue. Read it and weep, folks. You can't put a price on entertainment that is this good.

Must be Christian music!
-you are expected to have some kind of ministry, whatever you are comfortable with, we are expecting you to open with prayer
- we can provide pa system, but you must provide mics, cords, stands

-We are open Tues. thru Saturday, we have country, gospel, bluegrass, some acoustic on Thurs., heavy rock on Fri and all kinds on sat. We predominately book 2 bands a night

-Featured bands share full love offering taken up for them. All bands are expected to partner in the advertising and bring customers with them. Let their friends know about the show.

-Opening acts are usually solo or duets , they are not at this time compensated, they are expected to stay for the whole show, it's polite

-all artist can sell their merchandise, space and a table will be provided

-show start at 7:30 PM on weekdays, 8 on Saturday and, load-in is between 6-6:30 PM

- the MustardSeed will advertise in 5 different location around Columbus, Ohio, band should consider some supporting ads

-please bring a picture or poster to hang on the wall of your band, with your contact info

-please do not bring food in from the outside, we will provide some coffee and water, we have food for sale .

- If you need to cancel 2 weeks notice is required! It is the way Christians would act

Holy crap, that is crazy. Bring your own mics and stands? What the crap is that? I was expecting some self rightous junk since they're in the midwest, but forcing your opening acts to stay the whole show and buy food from you is just plain stupid. Thanks for the laugh.
