FIRE!

I just watched two houses blow up.
Ok, ok, not blow up.
But it was the biggest fire these eyes have ever seen.
and there were firemen on crane/ladder things and hoses and lots of water and smoke.
and I did hear a loud(ish) thud/explosion and then the flames got very large.
It was amazing to watch.
in the words of Kevin, the intern -- we were "rubberneckers".
