I got a $94 seat belt ticket today while I was wearing my seat belt.
The strap was nestled underneath my arm, instead of running across my chest. this is a ticketable offense.
I wanted to say fuck, but I had a kid in the car.

Contest it. You had a bruise on your chest and it hurt. You didn't know it was illegal. Obviously you had good intentions when you buckled up. The law wasn't clear... It just says buckle up. CONTEST!

I am really glad that you said this....Did you know in Idaho if you aren't wearing a seatbelt it is a $10 ticket? and they just changed it to where they can actually pull you over just for not wearing your seatbelt. Before, it was a $5 ticket, and they couldn't pull you over for only that offense...you had to be doing something else wrong. But, I live close to Washington where the ticket is $187.00 and yesterday I was wearing my seatbelt under my arm...just for a bit...I won't do that anymore thanks to you. I really can't believe that they can do that though! Aren't there like rapists and murderers out there that they need to get?
This happened to me!! It was $94 in California. But I WASN'T DRIVING! I was at a red light and I put it under my arm to put lotion on my leg. I did contest it and I still had to pay. I was told to wear my seat belt properly while I am in my car at all times. Does that mean we have to pull the belt out and wrap it around us before we can get into the seat? Should I be wearing it while I'm cleaning it out? hmmm...
